Cords come with a color code giving this system a super simple setup.
Panasonic SC-HT720
The Panasonic SC-HT720 is a mid priced home theater in a box that can be had for around 9.00. This system has a lot of features for the price and comes with DVD audio playback, a five disk CD changer, 5.1 speakers, 50 w/channel giving it more options that the lower priced sd-v55HT when it comes to control. Unfortunately, consumers gave a thumbs down to the picture and should quality on this setup.
Onkyo HT-S77C
The Onkyo HT-S77C is perhaps the best buy out of the lot. For 0.00 you get a system that includes 6.1 speakers, a receiver, a separate DVD player, And the DV-CP702 six-disc DVD changer. The sound and video on this system are rated very high among consumers although it does have a more difficult setup than any of the others.
Gateway KAS-303 & Connected DVD Player Bundle
This is the most expensive home theater in a box on our list and will cost you around 9.00. This system includes 6.1 speakers along with a separate DVD player that also has the ability to play digital media from a computer. Although the high price suggests quality, many consumers have stated disappointment with it overall claiming that the audio is too overpowering and setup is too complicated.

The wearable robotics suit is being designed to help with the many logistics challenges faced by the military both in and out of theater. Repetitive heavy lifting can lead to injuries, orthopedic injuries in particular. The XOS 2 does the lifting for its operator, reducing both strain and exertion. It also does the work faster. One operator in an exoskeleton suit can do the work of two to three soldiers. Deploying exoskeletons would allow military personnel to be reassigned to more strategic tasks. The suit is built from a combination of structures, sensors, actuators and controllers, and it is powered by high pressure hydraulics. Representatives from Paramount Home Entertainment, including the actor Clark Gregg (aka Agent Phil Coulson of the Marvel® Movie franchise) were in attendance to capture footage of XOS 2 to include in a video that's being produced to support the release of Iron Man® 2 on DVD and Blu ray.

The recent increased popularity of home video projectors and the large, clear images they can produce has led many new arrivals to the Home Theater realm to choose a video projector as their display device of choice. Video projector images look best when projected onto a properly matched screen surface. Although some anxious new owners may prematurely start by aiming their new projector on a white wall - they soon will want to get a projection screen for best results. Video projection screens come in many varieties - from the simple Do-It-Yourself (DIY) homemade screen to the most elaborate, manufactured remote control electric models and those various models in between. Video projector screens also come in a variety of surface finishes and reflectivity ratios. All of these factors should be considered when selecting a screen for your Home Theater.
Screen Surface Types
Home Theater projector screens come in a multitude of surface finishes. The variety of surface finish you will need depends upon your projector model. Screen surfaces vary from matte white, slightly silver or grey-ish, to reflective glass beaded models. Glass beaded models increase the effective brightness of your projector's image similar to the way a highway sign reflects car headlights. Lower lumen-level (lumens=light output) projectors such as CRT models benefit most from higher reflectivity (or gain) of a screen's surface. Higher gain surfaces increase the perceived brightness of the projected image. Conversely - a brighter projector looks best with a matte white or even a silver/gray surface. That is because the glass beads on higher gain screens have a tendency to "splatter" the brighter light waves produced by a high lumen output projector. A silver/gray surface will also enhance the perceived contrast level of LCD projectors which do not have the best contrast/black levels. So first you must decide the type and lumen output of the projector you are purchasing and that will help determine the surface type of the video projector screen you will need.
Model Types
Projection screens come in three basic styles - manual pull-down, electric and fixed varieties. Manual pull-down models are operated much like a window shade. Electric models have a motorized mechanism that does the work for you and fixed screens are motionless and stay right where you place them. Fixed screens also provide the flattest of all screen surfaces. Pull-down and electric screens can be susceptible to a slight waves on their surface. Although not obtrusive if properly cared for, some may prefer the absolute flat surface of a fixed screen model. The drawback to fixed screens is that you must live with them in place whereas retractable models can be deployed for viewing and afterwards be hidden from sight until next use.
Aspect Ratio
There is another very important factor to consider when shopping for a screen - that of the screen's aspect ratio. The aspect ratio of a projection screen refers to the shape of the available screen surface. Screens come in two basic aspect ratios --- 4x3 which is your normal television aspect ratio and 16x9 which is the normal widescreen or HDTV aspect ratio. The aspect ratio of your screen is an important decision to make prior to its purchase. That's because of the fact that once you buy it there's no way to change the aspect ratio - other than by masking portions of the screen. You can mask the surface with material or curtains if you want to get creative and that can temporarily change the aspect ratio of your fixed screen.

Think back to the last time you saw a movie at the movie theater. The line was long, and the tickets were expensive. So, you're planning on a media room or dedicated home theater room. You need to know everything about home theater seating. This guide will educate the home theater buyer on how to select and purchase home theater seating.
Home Theater Room Dimensions:
The first thing a buyer needs to do is measure the theater room in it's entirety. Top four considerations when buying home theater furniture.
The width of the viewing screen. The optimum viewing distance is 1.5 to 2 times the width of your viewing screen. After you have decided this, you now know where to start your first row of seats.
Should I put a second row of seats in my theater? A second row may need a raised platform at least 7 inches in order to see over the front row of seats. For most theater loungers you'll need at least a 72 inch depth platform for your 2nd row of seats.
How many seats across can I fit? This the width measurement. The optimum is four seats across for home theater.
Do you need an aisle? Center aisle or side aisle? Most rooms feature side aisles. A three foot aisle is ideal. The best advice is to measure your room twice. The proper fit is imperative to your theater. Most home theater seating is special order and not returnable to retailers.
Recliners
Most home theater seating feature wall saver or wall hugger design. The recliner inclines versus reclines allowing you to put the chairs close to the wall usually about 4 inches space required. You should check product specs to figure out how much space you'll need in back of the chair. If it's a wall hugger design you may need more space in front of the chair to allow for the footrest to come out. The depth of the chair will be the key measurement.

Pre Built Home Theater Seating Vs Special Order Seating
Pre Built Home Theater Seating For customers on a limited budget with limited time for delivery. Pre-built seating is seating that is normally in stock. The seating is pre built theater seating with limited color choices. The most common color available in pre built seating is black leather/vinyl or black leatherette. Most pre built seating is manual recline. What you see is what you get with pre built seating.
Special Order or Custom Theater Seating
For customers with a little better budget that have planned their lead time properly. In this case, you can pick and choose configurationsand materials that suit your specific needs, and the furniture is finished to order. In short, you have many choices to build the seating you want. Keep in mind, special order seating can take longer to ship depending on the brand you choose.
Power Recline versus Manual Recline
If you choose to do custom theater seating or special order seating. Most brands offer power recline as an option or manual recline as standard. The manual recline in most theater seats covers three positions. Upright, Middle, and all the way back recline. The most common one used is middle depth recline. The power recline has unlimited recline positions as you can recline the seat to your own position. This is like power recline in your car seat. If you order power recline, you will need a power outlet near the seats. Most motors put out 4 amps of power, so a normal wall socket (or power strip) will do.
Fabrics
The hardest choice in made-to-order theater seating is to choose a fabric. It is recommended that you order a swatch. In general, swatches are available for any customer ordered seating. They are generally not avalaible for pre built in stock seating.
Microfiber
Microfiber is a man made fabric with polyesters and nylon. Micofiber repells water or liquids making furniture difficult to stain. It is very soft and comfortable fabric and an excellent option to leather.
Leather
Leather is a natural material that breathes which adds more comfort by feeling warm in winter and cool in summer. It actually adjusts to body tempature. It's durable and easy to care for. It requires occasional dusting and wiping with damp cloth. A soft pencil eraser will easily remove most scuffs or marks. The price you pay for leather furnishings will always be a function of its grade and processing. There's a wide range between the price of a sofa made from a corrected-grain, pigmented leather, and a sofa made from pure aniline leather. One way to save money but still enjoy the prestige and comfort of leather is to choose a leather and vinyl combination. Applied to a home theater chair or sofa, this technique puts genuine leather everywhere the body touches, and places perfectly-matched vinyl in less visible areas.

This is a great money saving alternative while still enjoying the benefits of leather. The leather is on the front of back, top of seat, top of arm rest and foot rest.
